Horsham, PA (January 16, 2013) – It is with great sadness that Language Services Associates (LSA) announces the passing of its long-time COO, Arthur Michael Seefahrt.  Mr. Seefahrt passed away on January 11th, 2013 after a battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife, his two sons, his sister and an extended family.
“We are very saddened by Art’s passing,” said Laura K.T. Schriver, President and CEO, LSA.  “Art was not only an inspiration and a mentor to everyone here at LSA, but he was a dear friend and a tremendous human being.  We will miss his warm personality, great sense of humor, contagious laugh and relentless enthusiasm.”

A hard worker with exceptional people skills, Mr. Seefahrt enjoyed a distinguished and successful career.  Prior to joining LSA in 2000, he obtained several senior-level positions in the areas of accounting, finance and operations management.

During his 13 year tenure at LSA, Mr. Seefahrt was a true leader in every sense of the word.  He inspired everyone that he worked with to be a better person and to reach their fullest potential.  His supportive management style helped set the tone and culture of the organization, a culture that has attracted and retained so many talented people over the years.  In 2011, Mr. Seefahrt was recognized by SmartCEO magazine as one of Philadelphia’s top business leaders, and was named a SmartCXO award winner.

Mr. Seefahrt earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Lafayette College and his CPA certification in the State of PA from Temple University.  He also served as an active adult leader for the Boy Scouts of America, Chalfont / New Britain Troop #36, and was one of the Founders of the Josias A. Sterling Memorial Fund, a charity that provides swimming lessons to inner city children.
