Hispanic Media Influence Grows in Election Year

Hispanic media outlets are getting increasingly involved with the current midterm elections. Outlets such as the Spanish-language Univision Network are picking up more coverage than ever: from one-on-one interviews to debates with the candidates.

“We need to step up our efforts to ensure that the Hispanic swing vote is best equipped to make responsible and informed decisions,” said Univision president Cesar Conde.

The Spanish speaking voting population is 9% in the United States, which means candidates are looking to target Hispanics, especially in Southern California and Arizona.
