Laura K.T. Schriver – Founder & Board Chair

Ms. Schriver formed LSA in 1991 with a vision to help eliminate multicultural communication barriers worldwide through innovative language-based solutions, exceptional customer service support and superior linguistic quality.

As Board Chair of LSA, Ms. Schriver is actively involved in guiding the company’s strategic direction and future business operations. She is responsible for focusing on the big picture items that are vital to LSA’s overall success, such as the development and maintenance of strategic alliance partnerships with companies both in and outside of the professional language services industry.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Schriver has received a number of awards and honors for her business achievements, community involvement and proven leadership skills.  In 2010, she was named “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year®” in Greater Philadelphia and recognized for delivering entrepreneurial excellence in the business services category.  She has also been named a “Minority Business Leader” by the Philadelphia Business Journal and “Enterprising Woman of the Year” by Enterprising Women magazine.

Scott Cooper

Scott Cooper, President

Mr. Cooper serves as the President at Language Services Associates.  He is also a member of LSA’s Board of Directors.  In these roles he is involved with all facets of the company’s business including client solutions, strategic initiatives, operations, community outreach and client innovations.

Prior to joining LSA, Mr. Cooper represented the company as outside counsel for nearly a decade.  He joined LSA fulltime in 2019 from Blank Rome LLP, where he was Firm-wide Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment practice group and eight times elected as a member of the Firm’s Management Committee.  He also co-founded and co-led the Firm’s Trade Secret and Non-Compete Litigation group.  He served multiple terms on the Firm’s Partner Board, was the Philadelphia-based Hiring Partner, and a member of the Alumni and Strategic Retreat Planning Committees. Mr. Cooper won in 2017, the Firm’s prestigious Nathaniel Jones Award for his efforts promoting diversity and inclusion at the Firm. He has been published on various business and legal matters and has lectured all over the country and world on the U.S. legal and regulatory systems.

Mr. Cooper has more than 25 years’ experience representing publicly traded corporations, family owned businesses, start-ups, partnerships, major nonprofits, and government entities.  He earned numerous professional recognitions for his work in both corporate boardrooms and courtrooms.  He has appeared in more than two dozen federal and state trial and appellate courts, and government agencies throughout the country.  He is a member of the bar of numerous courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Cooper has held numerous leadership positions that benefit LSA and its customers. He was a member of the board of trustees of Temple University and president of the 320,000-member Temple University Alumni Association, and previously served as an adjunct professor at Temple University School of Law. Mr. Cooper has repeatedly been appointed to his township’s Ethical Standards Board, where he continues to serve as chair.  His service to the legal community included being elected President/Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, a member of the American Bar Association’s Executive Council of the Conference of Bar Association Presidents, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates.

Mr. Cooper received his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law and his B.A. from Vassar College, with a double major in economics and political science. Before joining Blank Rome, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Herbert J. Hutton of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and as an academic intern for the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
He is an avid soccer player, fan and licensed coach.  Mr. Cooper currently holds a seat on the Philadelphia Union’s Fan Advisory Council.

He is married and has two children.

Francis J. Convery – Chief Administrative Officer

Fran joined Language Services Associates in January 2019 after having spent the prior 23 plus years in various Senior Financial, Operational and Accounting Management roles. Most recently he served as Chief Operating Officer of the Strategic Staffing Business Unit of NTT Data where he had previously held the CFO role helping to guide them through 13 years of sustained growth and profitability with a revenue increase of over 765% during his tenure, including several successful key M&A transactions and integrations.

He brings with him extensive Executive level experience and expertise within several domestic and global service and technology focused companies in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Treasury, HR, I.T., Contracting, Tax, Legal, Risk Management and Financial Forecasting, Planning and Analysis. He is responsible for the Accounting and Finance functions of the Company as well as helping shape and drive the overall strategic direction of LSA along with the other members of the Executive Team.

Fran is a graduate of The University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is married with three children and has been very active in youth sports coaching over the years as well as other community civic association activities including serving on local Township and School related Boards.

Pablo Tercero

Pablo Tercero – Chief Officer of Operations

As Chief Officer of Operations at LSA, Mr. Tercero is responsible for redesigning and evaluating the Product Delivery and Supply Chain operations. Mr. Tercero works closely with LSA’s President to define multi-year business strategies. He focuses on establishing a collaborative, high-impact corporate culture, and works to develop talent within the organization. Mr. Tercero builds predictive financial models to enhance the company’s decision-making processes and he creates and maintains LSA’s pricing models.

Mr. Tercero joined LSA in 2009 as an IT Project Manager and spearheaded the creation of the Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) Department. In 2010, he became Manager of that department, and he has continued to oversee continuous VRI improvements in his various roles ever since. In 2011, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Operations, working to define strategic processes and identify key performance indicators for all product delivery units. In 2013 he became the Director of Operations, working directly with LSA’s Executive Team to identify and define key business objectives, and focused on leveraging technology to continually reduce production costs. In 2017 he was promoted to his current position.

Mr. Tercero studied mechanical engineering at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala while working for ExxonMobil as a Fuels Retail Analyst, which sparked his passion for business process improvement. He obtained a Master’s in Applied Economics and Business Management from a Texas A&M partnership with Universidad del Valle de Guatemala.

Lynn Dick – Vice President of Call Centers & Interpreter Relations

Lynn Dick has served the interpretation industry for over 19 years and has managed Language Services Associates’ (LSA) Call Center through 12,000% growth since the start of her career in 1999. She has worked to manage interpretation services for a variety of sectors including non-profits, federal, state and local governments, and private corporations.

Lynn is also experienced at overseeing services during periods of extreme need such as natural disasters and areas of sensitivity including immigration services. In addition to managing LSA’s Call Center, Lynn has been a strategic partner in executing on strategic initiatives and organizational growth, including leading the efforts to improve the interpreter experience through onboarding, credentialing, quality assurance, and interpreter retention. She currently serves the industry as LSA’s Vice President of Call Centers and Interpreter Relations.

Hank Thompson – Vice President of Revenue Generation

As Chief Revenue Officer at LSA, Hank Thompson is responsible for leading the sales and marketing team’s revenue-generation strategy, execution, and go-to-market approach. Hank is a sales, account management, and marketing executive, with 25+ years of experience in distribution and industrial channel markets, leading teams in building customer value.

Hank works closely with sales, marketing, the executive team, and LSA’s board of directors to develop growth strategies while providing leadership on projects to improve LSA’s mission and vision across all departments. Hank’s vast experience leading teams in competitive markets gives him the expertise to build ideas from the ground up, align each department with a singular objective, create a plan, and ultimately execute a well-defined goal. He plays a pivotal role in planning for the future and growing LSA to new heights.

Hank graduated from Penn State University and received his MBA from Eastern University. He is married with two children. 

Julia Bunk – Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer at LSA, Julia Bunk is responsible for all aspects of Accounting and Finance for the company. She provides leadership to the accounting team and serves as a strategic business partner and financial advisor to the President, Board of Directors, and the Executive team. She brings comprehensive expertise in Finance and Accounting, Treasury and Risk Management, Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Planning and Analysis, M&A, Financial Systems Implementation, and Process Improvement.

Julie is a results-driven financial leader with broad experience directing all aspects of the accounting and finance functions in multi-channel consumer products businesses. She’s solution-oriented, analytical, and focused on consistently crafting strategies to help LSA meet its goals.

Julia is a graduate of Lehigh University where she majored in accounting and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics.  She obtained her CPA license while working as an auditor for PwC and has over 25 years of experience in Finance leadership roles. Prior to joining LSA, she most recently held the role of Vice President of Finance at a middle market private equity-owned consumer products company.
