Federal Heritage Minister James Moore recently announced $7.7 million in new funding for the 2010 FF_258246_lVancouver Olympic Games to support bilingual services.  The funding will be used to ensure there are on-site Interpreters at medal ceremonies and permanent bilingual signs (in both French and English) at Olympic venues.  It has not been determined if airports and other public service points will have information available in both languages.

There are currently 7 sports with 15 disciplines in the Olympic Winter Games, including Skiing (alpine skiing, cross country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and snowboard), Skating (speed skating, figure skating, and short track speed skating), Bobsleigh (bobsleigh and skeleton), Luge, Biathlon, Ice Hockey and Curling.
