Laura K.T. Schriver – Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Laura K.T. Schriver is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Language Services Associates (LSA). Laura formed LSA in 1991 with a vision to help eliminate multicultural communication barriers worldwide through innovative language-based solutions and exceptional customer service support.
Under Laura’s leadership, LSA has seen unprecedented growth. The company has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of “Fastest-Growing, Privately-Held Companies in America” for five consecutive years, and has been ranked among the world’s “Top Language Services Providers” by independent market research firm Common Sense Advisory. These successes are a direct result of Laura’s ready to serve, can do attitude, unparalleled work ethic, devotion to linguistic quality and commitment to customer service.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Laura is responsible for focusing on the big picture items that are vital to LSA’s overall success, such as the development and maintenance of strategic alliance partnerships with companies both in and outside of the professional language services industry. Laura is actively involved in guiding the company’s strategic direction and future business operations.
Over the course of her career, Laura has received a number of awards and honors for her business achievements, community involvement and proven leadership skills. In 2010, she was named “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year®” in Greater Philadelphia and recognized for delivering entrepreneurial excellence in the business services category. Laura has also been named a “Minority Business Leader” by the Philadelphia Business Journal and “Enterprising Woman of the Year” by Enterprising Women magazine.
Frank Johnson – President
As the President of Language Services Associates, Frank is responsible for overseeing all financial and business planning activities for the company. He works very closely with senior management to ensure all employees recognize, share and live by LSA’s core values of exceptional customer service, linguistic quality and cutting-edge technology solutions.
Frank joined LSA in January of 2013 as a member of the Executive Management Team, and was quickly promoted to President. In his new role, Frank is responsible for growing the business with a strong focus on revenue-generating, value-added initiatives and programs across all areas of the organization. He is helping lead the way in the development and implementation of new strategies, products and processes designed to meet the company’s business expansion and growth plan.
Frank comes to LSA with more than 35 years of financial and business operations experience in the retail industry and other business sectors. During the course of his career, Frank has held several C-level positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. His prior experience includes C-level and senior management positions at Hecht’s (then a Division of May Department Stores), Nan Duskin, Inc., Today’s Man, Dry Ice Corporation and, most recently, as an independent consultant. His key areas of expertise include management and financial consulting, business development, process improvement and customer relationship management.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces where he served during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dennis Angeline – Managing Director of Administrative Services and Corporate Development
Dennis Angeline is the Managing Director of Administrative Services and Corporate Development for Language Services Associates. In this role, Dennis is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic planning, relationship management, process improvement and the day-to-day operations of the company. Dennis is helping lead the way in the development and implementation of new strategies, products and processes designed to meet the company’s business expansion and growth plan.
Dennis joined LSA in January of 2013 as a member of the Executive Management Team, and was quickly promoted to Managing Director of Administrative Services and Corporate Development. A seasoned business and financial professional with more than 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, Dennis has demonstrated success in growing businesses and increasing profitability.
During the course of his career, Dennis has held several senior management and leadership positions with major financial institutions, including LaSalle Bank, Mellon Bank and Fidelity. His key areas of expertise include strategic planning, new product development, marketing management and profitability improvement.
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Economics from Widener University, and has successfully completed the CFA Executive Management Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Starla Keith – Executive Vice President
As the Executive Vice President for Language Services Associates, Starla is responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing, PR and customer service initiatives. She manages the entire Sales team, as well as LSA’s Client Services, Marketing Communication and Translation and Localization departments, and directs the execution of corporate business strategies designed to drive revenue and increase market share. Starla is currently responsible for spearheading the company’s aggressive international market development efforts. Since joining the company in 2007, Starla has helped LSA’s revenue increase by more than 140 percent.
Starla brings to LSA over 20 years of business experience, with a specialization in the areas of sales leadership, customer service, operations management and marketing communications. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.
Starla currently serves as a voting member of ASTM International and is actively involved with the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Mauricio Vicente – Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer for LSA, Mauricio is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the company’s long-term and comprehensive IT vision, mission and strategy, while keeping abreast of new advancements in technology. Mauricio is also responsible for defining and adjusting LSA’s IT standards, strategic technology solutions and overall information architecture.
Mauricio joined LSA in 2000 as a Call Center Coordinator and was quickly promoted to Project Manager and then Manager of the Translation and Localization division. In 2003, Mauricio was promoted again to LSA’s Director of Information Technology. And then in 2011, Mauricio was promoted to Chief Information Officer and a member of the LSA Executive Team.
Under Mauricio’s leadership, LSA has implemented a number of cutting-edge technology solutions, including a proprietary Computer Telephony Integration system with real-time reporting of language data and a Video Remote Interpreting platform for on demand foreign language and American Sign Language support.
In 2012, Mauricio beat out more than 500 nominees for the coveted “IT Leader of the Year” title, awarded by SearchCIO-Midmarket as part of its annual IT Leadership Awards Program. He has also been invited by a number of companies to present on the topics of technology, innovation and the global language services industry, including inContact, Wainhouse Research and Frost & Sullivan.
Mauricio has been working with computers passionately since a young age and has a Degree in Translation from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, his home nation.
